Rompish Design
Self-branding & senior exhibition · 2026 · 16-week capstone, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design
Rompish Design is my own studio identity, built over a 16-week capstone alongside the gallery show that launched it. I wanted a brand that could hold both sides of my work — graphic design and illustration — without either one feeling like an afterthought.
The mark is an otter holding the silhouette of a pen tool: curious and playful, but clean enough to sit comfortably on a business card or in front of a client. The palette follows suit: primary colors softened into cream, teal, ochre, coral, and a deep pine.
I built out the identity across a brand book, business cards, and a repeating pattern I carried through my branding. I heat-transfer printed the pattern and logo onto tote bags, prototyped the studio site in Framer, and cut large-format vinyl to turn the pattern into a floor-to-ceiling mural for the show.
For the exhibition, I wanted people to spend time in the brand rather than just look at it. The space became a room you could actually sit down in — a rug, a comfortable chair, a coffee table, houseplants, a looping video of the site and illustration work, tote bags to take home, and other deliverables to interact with. The identity became an environment that visitors could be immersed in.
